What was the last thing you bought that you WANTED not NEEDED and when did you buy it?
As a wife and mum I rarely buy something unless it is needed. So once a year (as I have no social life or annual holiday abroad or locally) for my birthday, I buy myself something that I want - not expensive but I make sure its something that I want. This year I bought a portable dvd player.

Last thing I bought that I didn't need was Mass Effect for my Xbox 360 (£40), or possibly some tinsel for the Christmas tree (that was only £1 though!)

Blondie Bear
Last week I brought a bagpuss hot water bottle cover!

I think you're right to treat yourself, you deserve it!

I spent some of my savings on my Canon 400d camera, I got a package deal on it, so it was £550. I got it like 2 months ago and I've used it once. It makes me feel bad :( I should have just went on a wee holiday!

We bought a drinks fountain yesterday. It will probably only be used on christmas day, but hey, who cares.

We tried it out with water yesterday and it looks like an indoor water fountain.

After christmas it will be relegated to the cupboard with all the other useless stuff we wanted but never use.

a beautiful lie
I was doing some christmas shopping when i walked into a new shoe shop (the new shopping centres only been open 2 months) So anyway I looked at the boots and really liked them, knowing i cant afford them i bought them anyway.

3 weeks ago. Bought 2 non-stick cake tins. Already had 2 similar with a sliding bar at the base to free sponges etc.
The new non-stick ones leave cakess stuck at the base!
My old well used ones are better.

Dooney and Bourke Purse & Accessories-Purchased it about 3 weeks ago. I'm like you I rarely buy myself anything but I have wanted this for sometime so I splurged. Did I need it? No, but I'm sure glad I got it!

I bought a nintendo wii, no-one needs these gadgets as there purely a luxury item, but my family has had a riot prancing around the room with lumps of plastic in our hands thinking we're **** hot tennis players!!! LOL.

Last night I didn't need the 2 beers I bought, but you have to do these things once in a while.
