There is no safe way to quickly double your 20k.... unless you have one of those science-fiction-movie cloning machines. I have often wondered why all those people selling their investing newsletters weren't all millionaires! Pick a reliable investment company and buy a mutual fund with good long term results.... then stay with it.
P.S. You can't doing it raising Bullmastiffs, either. Tried that! |

In 6 months time it can be doubled by carefully investing in commodity market. But you must be very sure of the positions you take, you must decide your entry and exit level. By doing this i can assure you can double it in 6 months. |

The real estate market isn't that great right now for selling, but there are plenty of places out there that are going for cheap. Buy one and live there for a few years. You wont have your 20K anymore, but you will have 20k in equity. And with each mortgage payment you make your equity goes up. In a couple of years the market will rebound and house prices will go up, even more equity. Then sell it off, or make some upgrades and then sell it. |

It can be done. Put 10k in an ING savings account. They have the highest interest I know of right now. I would then invest the rest. The stock market is shaky but you can still make out. Consult a stockbroker and research the companies you want to invest in. Some people like IPOs and others like safe, established companies like coca-cola. Choose what ever is right for you. If you can get a mortgage I would put the 20k down on a house or condo and rent it out. Use the income from the rent to pay the mortgage and when the place is paid off you only paid 20k for it.
