The first thing I would buy if I won a mil, a financial adviser. So that I can invest it wisely and watch it grow |

I am on the same wagon as LOW. Invest it, and spend the interest. Do you know how much is 5% out of 1 million? |

To answer William, it's $50,000 per year.
Not a bad lifelong income--and you could that by investing in 10-year Treasury notes, which are yielding just a little over 5% right now (still considered the safest investment in the world: AAA-rated).
Some good thinking--but where is a little bit for charity? Maybe something for a Children's hospital?
If I won the $1,000,000 lottery--I would take home $600,000 after taxes: I'd give $100,000 to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. And I'd completely blow the the other 500,000. Have some fun, pay off what's owed, etc. Wouldn't change a thing in my life. Have a complete blast for a weekend, and forget about it. |

I would not buy anything! I would invest it and use the interest to buy what I wanted. That way I would always have my $1,000,000.00 |

That's not enough money to purchase a 737-900 unfortunately... |

First I would pay off all my debt!!!
THEN I would design and build a log home on a HUGE plot of land!!
Yeah, yeah selfish, but I can do all that charity stuff after I have my own house...oh, and buy a new house for my brother, too! |
