Ok congrats to those of you who actually mentioned investing some of the money. It's a pity it's listed 'LAST' in most cases. Saving for retirement is a waste of time. It is better to INVEST for long term cash flow. Travel and paying off debts was higher priority. It shows that most of you need financial coaching.
Investing should be the first thing to spend your money on. Why? Like the lady who said she'd purchase some real estate, that's the best answer because these assets can begin generating nice cash flows for you THEN you can pay down debts and other outstandings.
Travelling the world should be financed by the profits from your investments.
Here's my breakdown to my own question:
I'd invest $400,000
$300,000 to real estate
$20,000 to Gold
$80,000 to commodities.
Out of the final $100,000, put $30,000 to pay off vehicle loan and small personal loans,
$50,000 to install downstairs apartment for which estimate has already been done and $20,000 to upgrade my photo business
