wow that is a lot of money, first thing i would do is build affordable housing for low income families,3-5 bedrooms with rent being no more than $1000 per month, donate to a food program where families can receive free groceries twice a month, i would also buy a home for myself and my family. i would not mind donating to our schools to keep programs such as art, music, college prep going. |

give 100,000 million to human charties. 50 to CARE and the other to that Smile Train thing and things that improve human well-being in other countries. (American are spoiled, they don't need any of my money, lol)
give 100,000 million to nature charities. 50 to Audubon (cuz i like birds!) and split the other 50 among the other habitat-preservation initiatives
buy a small but nice house next to lots and lots of nature, which i'd protect with my mighty lawyers! if i still have money left over, i'd tear down the house and re-build it -- make it ornate and victorian/gothic with a tower, but keep it white and put angels around it to keep neighbors from bringing their proverbial pitchforks to surround it.
i'd have an outdoor aviary and i'd rescue birds and even pay some maid-like person to clean up after 'em, so all i'd have to do is talk and play with the birds.
guess if i still had money left over, i'd keep it invested in stocks and bonds for "retirement" or to pay for kid's college (think Yale here, lol). But i would never give any kids i have money. i'd only buy them an education and leave them free of loans when they graduate. if after all that, if they sink into rehab instead of soar, they friggin deserve to.
yeah, not too exciting. that's why i'm not rich. decent people like me don't BECOME rich.

I would give most of it away, honestly. Foster care programs need a lot of help. I would keep 5 million in a high interest yielding account and live off the interest. I would open a no-kill kitty sanctuary. My husband wants a big cat sanctuary or at least give support to an existing one. We also want to open an indoor rock climbing wall and fitness facility. I would travel a lot and take my family with me. I would have lots of children and know that they would have a great life. I would also like to aide in an existing financial education program for high school students or start one. |
