i would give some to my parents like 250, 000 each and then i would set my sister up with a car and everything she wanted i would donate some to the ASPCA and then i would buy a really cool car and more and go to college |

1. Max out my contribution to 401K or Roth IRA for this year.
2. The Remainder is ALL taxable, so number two is to PAY all taxes.
3. I would donate a small amount for this year only to my favorite non-profits: Amnesty International, PBS, Salvation Army &c.
4. I would buy a reliable hybrid. Probably not a Chevy Tahoe, though. Still consumes too much gas. But better than a minature, just in case I get hit by someone bigger.
5. I would max my medical coverage for self and family.
6. I would invest 90% of the remainder into corporations of benefit to the world with lots of diversity, an investment rule.
7. I would put half of the remainder into my Credit Union Savings Account, and half into my Credit Union checking account.
8. I would make sure my insurance for the new car is adequate.
9. I would check out disability income insurance or in case of older person, long term care insurance.
10. I would be very, very careful about being wise and not overspending. I would not loan anything out to others.
11. I might help a few people now and then with small amounts on the expectation of not ever getting it back. But I would choose those people who are worthy, very carefully.
12. I would get an unlisted phone number and start keeping my email secret.
13. You need to move OUT of a dangerous area if you live in one.

invest it. Buy a new house, and really good car, pay off any debts and use the rest very wisely. I def wouldnt blow it thats for sure. I might splurge a little bit on new clothes and stuff but other then buying a new house and a really great car and paying off bills thats about all I would do with it. |
