Try to approach a family friend or someone you know to hook you up with a job. The economy isn't doing so well, but there are still jobs for young people to do, Check your local newspaper! |

If you have a small garage sale, maybe clothes you don't want any more or just things you know are not valuable to yo any longer. Good Luck! |

My suggestion is to go to your local Kroger and sign up to work there. They normally are good about hiring young labor because they can get it cheap. If you make 6.50 an hour, with a 20% total tax and working 15 hours a week (because of school) you will have 156 dollars in two weeks. If you work 20 hours, you'll have a little more than 200 in your first two weeks.
However, I think babysitting may be your best option at this point. |

Sell stuff on craigslist and post an ad for childcare. You could post an ad for dog walking/sitting, tutoring, lawn mowing, house cleaning help. Lots of stuff. |

pass flyers out about babysitting, you might get people who still need you to babysit. and pet sitting maybe? I would say dog walking but thats not really good for winter unless you live in florida or somewhere down south where there isn't snow. |

Snow shoveling
grass cutting
dog walking (a guaranteed job if there are seniors with pets in your area who can't get out to walk them)
Sounds gross...but you could set up your own pooper scooper business. Charge by the yard - $15 for a small, $20 for a large, plus $5 per extra dog beyond the first one. Repeat business could keep you going for some time. It's a job most will pay for because even if times are tough, they don't wanna do it! |

You could always teach yourself some HTML and design Myspace pages or something like that. There's plenty of online tutorials, and all you need is a text editor like notepad and a myspace/website of your own.
I've heard of plenty of people getting rich off of this. |

Make bets, sell something you have, tutor your best subject, sell a organ-blood-self (18+ and legal for most). Do a bunch of chores for her, the list can go on and on. Mom always said if you cant afford it you dont need it. Try not to borrow from her anymore. |

Ask neighbors if you can do odd jobs for them ... washing cars, shoveling snow, raking leaves, etc. Ask for a low amount like $5, and they might give you $20 because they admire your attitude and industriousness.
Otherwise:
Borrow it from your dad.
Pretend you have cancer and stage a fundraising carwash. |
