what happens is whoever presents the check first, gets the money. Usually if two items are presented in one day, the larger amount of the check takes your remaining balance. Say you have 20 bucks left and you wrote a check for 40 and 30. The 40 check will take out and you will have a -$20 balance PLUS a $35 overdraft fee *varies depending on bank* Each subsequent item will be charged a $35 overdraft fee AND will be returned to the payee. The payee will then charge you about $20 for a returned check charge. It gets very expensive and fast. Go put money in the bank ASAP before you hit overdraft meltdown! IT happened to me tons of times and the bank will eventually stop clearing your checks and putting holds on your account! NOT FUN!

the bank will help pay off the money that you don't have in the account and then slap you with a huge fee. I overwithdrawn once by like 25 cents and they gave me a 30 dollar fee. So instead of owing the bank 25 cents, I now owe them 30.25.

The check will go BOING, bouncy bouncy. The bank will charge you for that so get it taken care of as soon as possible.

You will bounce the checks and overdraft, not cool.

What can happen: Your checks bounce, and the people you wrote checks too get really mad. They will usually resubmit the check 24-48 hours later, PLUS charge you an extra fee for the trouble.

What happens at my bank (nice people). The bank goes ahead and pays the people I wrote to checks too. This puts my bank account in negative, and the bank charges me an overdraft fee. However, one overdraft fee is much less than 5 bounced check fees from angry people I wrote my checks too.

Good luck!

rustman911
The checks are going to bounce and the fee from most places for this is usually between $25 and $35. It's not worth it to bounce checks.

your account will be overdrawn and you will have to pay the overdraft fees on top of the amount per check. If you have overdraft pertection then the bank will pay the check, but you will still have to pay the overdraft fees and the amount of the check. Also at most banks if you are to far overdrawn they will put your account on hold until you clear up all the overdraft fees and checks to balance your account.

mRsLaDy
Your account will get overdrawn and the bank may charge you a fee. But if the bank doesn't cover your check it will get returned to the person you wrote it to and at that point they might try to re-deposit the check & the company/person might also charge you a fee for the check being returned...
Check with your bank about getting some overdraft protection so you can be covered if you cant make a deposit in time...

The checks will bounce and you will be in trouble.

If you have over draft protection, the checks will draw from that until you reach your limit, and the rest will bounce.

If they all get caught in overdraft, most likely your bank will charge you an overdraft fee, our banks fee is $28.95 per overdraft. But the amount will vary from bank to bank.

If the check bounces, you'll pay your bank a delinquent check fee, also up to $30- varying from bank to bank, and you'll pay the store a delinquent check fee of up to $32- again depending on the store...as well as having to pick up the check for whatever amount it was written for.

The real danger is if someone holds onto a check for a few days after it bounces and attempts to run it again...because chances are they'll charge you another delinquency fee.

If the check comes through and there is not enough money, they will fine you. But it usually takes a few days for the bank to actually return the check. So if you hurry down to the bank, you will probably get fined, but the people you wrote the checks to will get their money becuase the check will go through when the money actually tries to be withdrawn in a few days. But it all depends on the bank.

Aly S
it will bounce back when the person trys to cassh it. and then they will get back 2 u!

graywales
The police will arrest you, whip you 40 times for each dollar you are owe. Then when the whipping is done they will go tou your house or flat and eat your pets and family. LOL
