All depends on what type of account you need etc. Why don't you visit a few in yoru area and compare the rates they'll give you? |

I don't know if it's better than Wells Fargo, but I'm with Wachovia.
Wachovia consistently gets high ratings when it comes to overall customer satisfaction. I have a regular checking account. It's free as long as I don't visit tellers more than 2 times in a month. If there are numerous ATM's and branches in your area, I definitely recommend giving them a look...And they don't solicit like Bank of America. |

Look for local small banks or Credit Unions. . .You'll get better rates, less fees and more personal attention to you and your accounts. |

The "best bank" depends on what you want from a bank. I use a large commercial bank because I use online services they offer. A neighbor uses a small local bank because, when she goes in her branch, the staff know her name; she doesn't need online services. You need to look at ads from banks, check their websites and see what they offer that appeals to you.
For my own opinion, I recommend staying away from Bank of America; they're the largest bank in the USA and the staff are known for being rude! Many people are happy with them of course, so it depends again on what you want. |

It totally depends on where you live, and what you are using the account for. I like Bank of America, but once again, it depends on your situation. |

Bank of America is GREAT!! We have 7 accounts with them. No matter what bank you use, build a good relationship with someone who has a bit of authority down there. That comes in handy with waiving fees and getting loans. |

It depends on what you need from your bank. Wells Fargo wouldn't be good for me because there closest branch is over 1000 miles away. A bank I recommend could be bad for you for the same reason. |

No bank is the best you loose a lot of money with most of them. I have a etrade account you get about 10x more in your checkings and savings than a regular bank |
