Don't pay taxes (legally, of course.) The typical American who owns their own business pays around 30% of their income in taxes if they are structured as a proprietorship. If they are structured as a C corporation, they only pay 5%.

Therefore, just by avoiding taxes, the person who has a C corporation makes 37.5% more than the other person, in the exact same business, who has to pay 30% taxes. That person also has more money to invest.

Let's say you had $100. One person would have 70, the other would have 95. They both put their money into a 10% interest-bearing account. After a year, the person with 70 has 77, or $7 more, while the person with 95 has $9.50 more. $7 vs $9.50 is 35.7% more.

Also, if you've ever studied compounded interest, the person with $95 to invest will make more money faster than a person with less money.
