if you are going to buy on Ebay, you need to sign up for an account before you bid, you cannot bid with out. you need to open an account
with paypal, where they will deduct the money from your credit card if you win a bid. do not bid unless you intend to win and pay for goods, other wise you will end up being kicked off. Also before you buy check up on the person you are bidding with to see if they are a genuine seller and not a fly by night. check their payment and postage instructions. make sure they are not over charging you on postage

you have options of how you wish to pay from the choice the seller offers, if you pay via paypal then you follow the steps on the computer if you are the winning bidder and pay that way, or if you can use the options you can pay COA if your collecting or postal order or cheque if you want it posted to you, but you will have to wait for a cheque to clear before the seller will post the item, if you want to use paypal you will have to set yourself up a pay pal account via the ebay site, nobody takes any money unless you authorise it |

if you're the winning bidder then you and the seller work our payment. Usually its through paypal. You create a paypal account and link it to your checking account. Then paypal takes out the cash and gives it to the other person. |

well you bid for an item... No it doesnt take your money when u bid.. assuming you win the bidding... as soon as the auction ends and you've won it.. there will be an option for you to pay.. click on the that and it will take you to paypal's logging page.. just do as it says on screen... good luck ! |

money is only taken from your account if you sign up for paypal and after you have won the item and after you click on pay it now. Then you still have a choice of credit card pay or paypal unless buyer agrees to wait for you to mail him a check, and you will have to wait to receive merchandise after the check clears. It is usually 2 week delay. |

You make your bids and if you're the highest bidder when the auction/listing ends,
a) you get an email from eBay telling you that you've won the item
b) you can see on your 'My eBay' summary page that you've won and need to pay
c) you might also get an emailed invoice from the seller to tell you that you've won the item
You don't pay anything until after the auction closes and even then, you only pay if you win the item.
When you see that you need to pay, you can either click o the Pay Now button that you'll see in the email and/or on your My eBay summary page and the money will be taken from your PayPal account and given to the seller, who will then send your item to you. |

You have to pay manually via Paypal or cheque etc when you WIN an item. They do not take the money as you bid.
You are not compelled to pay and Ebay cannot take the money from you if you don't pay, but you ARE legally obliged to pay for any item you win with the highest bid |
