I sit down twice a month and figure out what we can pay and what we can't. For instance if my phone bill isn't due until the 24th I might wait to pay it till closer to the end of the month. It is also because my husband and I are on bi-monthly pay. I haven't paid my water bill in like three months but it's only like 75 dollars total. They let people go forever and usually wait six months before disco. We've had x-mas, birthdays and what always gets used is that 75 for the water. Oh well. Usually they are paid before their due date. |

For everything that offers a "sure pay" (automatic withdrawal) that is done. I never carry a credit card balance.
I do this mainly because I live frugally--I've never had a cell phone, don't take vacations, and if I shopped for the US government we'd save 80% of what they spend. I am the coupon queen, know all the discount shops, how to make do, etc. |

I pay them right away. With my credit cards, I actually pay the balance in full before I get the statement in the mail ... I just look it up online after the statement period has ended and then pay online.
I just hate being in debt, so I like to pay my stuff as soon as possible. And I never have to worry about late fees or, god forbid, disconnect notices! |

Hey I pay as soon as the money comes out of my hubby's check into the bank. Or at least I try to anyway. Sometimes like this time of year...(He does concrete, there isn't alot of work,) It might come close to disconnect notice but so far nothings ever been turned off. Knock on wood. |

Its a mix, some are paid right away (esp if a small amount) some are paid closer to due date, some are paid in between but nothing is ever put off til disconnect notice. |

Whenever possible I pay by monthly direct debit, and thing I have to do myself I pay about a week before due. never wait for reminders. |

Depends LOL! Like my car payment is due the 17th I send the check the 15th I know they will receive it later but car lenders ussually give you an extra 10 days before it's condered late. My light bill, I have e-mail billing so when they send me the notice saying "Your payment is almost due" Then I go a pay it. For my cable LOL! I forget all the time but there ok about it I just make sure to log in once a month and pay whatever is owed. As for credit cards I have reminders then I prepare a chart once the Bills are ready with due dates and balances and pay them off online so they payment goes through quickly. And my rent (NEVER LATE!!!) I prepare the check and mail out the last day of each month so either the 30th or 31st. |
