I think we are lucky that gas is one of the few things...maybe the only thing...that hasn't gone up in price in the last 25 or 30 years. It jumps around...but it has always been between a buck or so and 4 bucks or so. About the only other thing i can think of like that are computers in the last 15 years...always been 500 to around 1500 for a decent one. |

I think of people having problems getting to work, not making enough to GET to work, prices of everything going up and possibly fewer people traveling this summer to see their families that they haven't seen for awhile.
If the average person makes minimum wage (here it's $6.15 an hour) and from what we have read and heard gas could get to $5.00 a gal, they will be working for $1.15 an hour, who can live on that? I know with 3 children we couldn't!
I think the president should start paying our bills and maybe he will realize that these gas prices are going to really hurt people, maybe some of that money should come out of his pocket for once! |
