Where's the best place to get rid of foreign currency I have in change?

I travel a lot and just put them in a jar. When time comes to visit that country again, I'd dip into the jar and bring them with me.

Weatherman
Give it to a charity.

Depending on the value of the coins a lot of banks won't exchange them.

Throw it all in a wishing well. Look how many wishes might come true...

Go to a bank that exchanges forign currency. Go to any bank, if they do not do it, they can tell you where you can.

Do an exchange at your bank

*babydoll*
The bank. That's what my husband did with all but one piece of each of his Spanish, French, and British money.

Most exchange places won't take change/coins in foreign currency...so I guess you will have to make a trip to the county you got the change from to spend it!

If you go to museums, some of them have large clear donation boxes where you see change and currency from all over the world...might be a good thing to donate it there, as it might add up to something for them.

just like how you get it,slip a couple coins in every time you go to the store

A lot of travel agents have collection boxes for unwanted foreign coins. They go to charity. Banks are usually only interested in notes, or coins of large denomination, plus they charge interest for changing.
