Almost everybody puts them in the closet.
So Maybe that's the first place a thief would look.
Maybe under a dresser, or the bed, or the sink in the kitchen if it;s small enough, or in a shelf in the wash room. |

If you're in a house (own, not renting) you could cut out a hole in the wall and put it in there (cover it with a painting)...like you see in the movies. I thought it would be cool to do that. If not, in a closet probably. |

I have an enclosed patio type thing with a concrete base.....I dug out a square hole into it and smoothed out the edges....Placed a shallow amount of quick drying cement at the bottom of the hole and slid the safe in with the door facing up and 4 long bolts pointing straight down into the wet cement to ensure there is no movement.
I then bought a steel draining system which secures flush with the hole and you are unable to notice anything......All the drains works...except the one the safe is under which is a false one with a water catcher on top to create the illusion it's a drain....Yes..I had alot of free time and I like the whole bruce wayne feel to it.....
But no money to put in it....LOL |

IN the floor and buried up to its kyster in concrete. Just don't place it under the kitchen sink or in the bathroom because if someone leaves the water running and it gets wet it COULD damage the operating mechanism and you would be standing in line with the boogeymen trying to figure out how to get it open. |
