Here are the top ten places to look for to find some money when your just walking around

10. Sidewalks: Most people donâ€™t look at the sidewalk when they walk. Itâ€™s surprising the number of people that walk by money simply because they never have seen it. Keep your eyes on the sidewalk when walking and you are sure to find some coins.

9. Gutters: This may apply to countries where there are a lot of people that ride scooters like in Japan, but at least for me, walking on the edge of the sidewalk so that I can also see the gutter will increase the chances of me finding money.

8. Intersections / Crosswalks: Iâ€™m always on the lookout for money when crossing the street. For some reason, it seems to gather here more than on the sidewalks and gutters along the main portion of the street.

7. Train / Subway Stations: Public transportation stations are a good place to find fallen coins. People are taking out money to buy tickets and invariable a coin drops to the ground here and there.

6. Telephones: This used to be a great place to find coins , but with everyone now carrying around a cell phone, itâ€™s becoming harder to find coins around phone booths. Still, itâ€™s worth a look since money does drop and people do forget the coins they are feeding into the phone from time to time.

5. Stores: People are at stores to buy things so they are taking money out of their pockets to pay for items they want. Coins get dropped and not all of them get found. Keep your eyes open along the sides and corners and you will find a stray coin from time to time.

4. Parking Lots: If I have an opportunity to cut through a parking lot, I donâ€™t do it to save time or distance, but to look for coins. Parking lots are one of the better places to find coins.

3. Self Pay Parking Machines: I always pay special attention when I walk past a parking lot that has a self pay machine as the person is exiting. People are leaning out the window putting coins into the machine and sometimes a coin drops. Most of the time when this happens, the person isnâ€™t going to get out of their car and look underneath it for the coin. Instead, they will write it off as a loss and just leave. When this happens and the timing is right, that coin will become mine.

2. Around Vending Machines: There are a huge number of vending machines around and simply looking around them will provide you with a bunch of coins over a yearâ€™s time. This is especially true in winter when itâ€™s cold outside and people are wearing gloves (I find far more coins in winter than I do in summer). They donâ€™t have a feel for the coins and are more likely to drop one without noticing. Iâ€™m sure I could find even more if I was willing to look under the vending machines.

1. Vending Machine Return Coin Slots: The place I find by far the most coins is in the coin return slots of vending machines. Luckily, most of them are clear plastic so you can see into them without getting down and reaching to feel around. As mentioned above, winter is the best time as people are often wearing gloves and donâ€™t feel the coins they leave behind.

i found just last year in gas stations with stores in them , when i fill up i walk the parking lot you will be amazed at the change people drop and will not pick up by the way it was 125.00 just in change

grocery store parking lots! my Mom once found over a hundred bucks.. someone must have dropped it.. I also found a five dollar bill in the same parking lot and once an expensive gold and diamond ring.. you gotta scour the lot and keep coming back but I'm sure you'll find something.. people drop cash while stuffing it carelessly in their pockets or purses when hurrying out of the store

around snack machines, and restaurants, but i would suggest just waiting for it to find you.

Anywhere and everywhere.

I went in quiznos the other day and found a $2 bill on the floor. I thought it was pretty cool - you never see those anymore.

A movie theatre, laundromat, or bus station -- any place that people do a lot of sitting..

lol u must be broke i would say anywhere my mom has been cause shes forgetful lol jk i only ever found cash in a store and if i don't see anybody around that looks like they dropped it i keep it

probably in a mall parking lot, a lot of people go to the mall

The stretch of road leading up to a toll booth.

Under the bleachers after a ball game. When we were kids, we would go every Sat morning and rack up.

next to a wishing whale

The beach. Lots of people comb beaches using metal detectors with good results.

By the window at any drive thru.

In a safe. Or, by a vending machine.

Wherever large crowds are using change, like under the boardwalk or bleachers.

in my p.e class or the cafetaria

Under one of those ferris wheels that flips people upside down.

Near or in a casino, or after a county fair.

hmm, not a lot of money but vending machines would be a good place. Also for the big bucks act like you dropped something every time you go check out at the grocery store and check the ground around there. And in the parking lot of the grocery store.

In water fountains like big ones
In drive through's
Arcade floor
try around your house like by a couch in miscellaneous droors taht have just random stuff in it.
ask a friend i now its not on the floor but one might help u if you pay them back...ummm cafeterias
by vending machines
in payphones like when you push the button for getting you change back and checking under the flap
