Which bank do you think is better?
I want to close my Halifax account because I'm disatisfied from their service and open an account in Lloyds TSB or HSBC.

What do I need:
- Internet banking
- Credit card
- Good telephone customer support

What I don't need:
- Overdraft
- Mortgage/Loan (at the moment)

Any idea?

All banks are as bad as each other. TSB messed up my accts BIG TIME and Smile bank did the same. That question is like asking how long is a piece of string because most people have a horror story or two to share about their banking experiences. I would honestly say do your own research and make your own mind up, there's no point asking anyone else.

Without doubt it has to be Barclay's and the reasons are Firstly they were bought out some years ago by another large corporation with billions behind them and have never had the problems banks are facing today.Secondly they are a government bonded bank which means they are the bankers for the government so you have even more protection.Thirdly their customer service is really very good and caring.
Those who have suggested Lloyds TSB are forgetting the problems they experienced when Lloyds bought out the TSB and indeed the problems they have at the moment which has been well publicised.
We changed all our accounts to Barclays after looking into all the others and like you were customers of the Halifax Bank and the problems we had with them were horrendous and the best thing we did was change.
Barclays supply all the services you are looking for and have listed so it is well worth a visit to your local Barclays branch and have a chat with them.
Good kuck.

BEWARE!!! They are all a bunch of crooks. Use a fireproof safe and loan out some money and keep the interest in the family. Why pay interest to banks or let them pay you a half percent interest on your money while they charge someone 10 to 20 percent to use your money. Don't think banks, think family and friends.
