I am with the Halifax and find them pretty good, sorry I cannot give an opinion on the Abbey !

There is no major different as organisations, but Abbey do the better interest rates.

It depends what for!
Both are pretty much in competition with each other on rates and mortgage rates. It's then all down to person al experience and your local branch!

Ian :-)
I have found the Halifax to be worse than useless. No humanity everything decided by computer,
I hated them

taketwo
Nationwide cash back when you make purchase.

I do my business banking with Abbey and find that they are pretty good, but for loans I go to the Halifax as Abbey wouldn't give me one!
Why not open an account with both of them so you can compare them first hand?

Been with both - now with Halifax who are by far the best in my opinion. Or you could just send your money to me and I'll look after it!

I'm not sure about Halifax. but dont go with abbey. they are useless. take that from someone who has had a load of problems. ... check out the Halifax before during, and after. as all of these banks, are so unreliable

beckywecky
I would say the Halifax... Ive been with both of them and the Halifax is the one Ive stuck with coz they better for me.

Do not under any circumstances go with either of these thieving bastards , they will cripple you for a ten pence overdraft.
