Coffee and food go in their tummy. |

Because Starbucks is a "want" not a "need" |

Because they don't realize that gas would be about $1.50/gal if the government didn't regulate the life out of the industry. Or, if they complain about the government, not the oil companies, because they do. |

Good point. I am totally with you. I refuse to pay 5 dollars for a cup of coffee. Prioritizing. |

Because they're just repeating what they hear from the media and other people. Gas is cheap! It's food that's expensive!!! |

This is because they see the politicians complaining about it, so they have to do the same. |

because we as americans are lazy. gas is a bigger fix then starbucks or fast food. i mean you gotta get gas to drive to get that stuff so its more on your mind because the media pushes the subject around. i personally hate paying 3 bucks a gallon. i dont drink coffee and fast food i try to stay away from. gas is just an outlet to be pissed at that everyone agrees on. |

A couple reasons, you don't buy one gallon of gas when you fill up so the comparison between a gallon of gas and coffee isn't really fair. Also people have a lot of options in choosing coffee, you can buy a cheaper coffee. While you could stop commuting by car, certain options are less than viable, IE buying a car that runs on an alternative fuel. Now believe me I am not in favor of the argument that gas is too much, I get sick of people complaining. people love to complain because it is easier than taking action. plus when you complain you are bound to attract more and more complainers to support your cause. But I thought I would present the possible argument of an avid gas price complainer. In my mind you can either find a way to change the price of gas or make more money. I don't know how to change the price of gas and I believe that making more money is a much easier solution. |

But do you need Starbucks and Fast Food? Um no. You can get cheaper food than those places.
You need gas to get you places.

Im only 19 and the gas pump kills my pocket... I remember when gas was $1.09 a gallon... People complain about gas ... because it makes sense .... Gas is also the reason everything is so expensive when gas goes up ... milk goes up when milk goes up ... coffee goes up .... Gas price increases .... make the price of everything else increase .. because everything has to be transported .....
hmmmm broken sentences but im sure you get the point ;) |

Because for most people you have no control (or very little if you need to go to work ) over how much you need it. Plus oil company's are making record profits taking advantage of us. |
