Well, the instant reaction is to be bitter and jealous and say that its their ego, which it partly is.
But then you have the other side of the coin, that if you worked your way up from nothing to being a successfull businessperson earning a lot of money, you would be rightly proud of yourself, and you wouldn't be human if you didn't want to share this!
I know some people do go over the top, and try and make everyone else feel inferior, but not every rich person does that, some are very quiet. As an example, take bill gates, he's the second richest person on the planet (recently got knocked off the number one spot!), but I`ve never heard him brag about it, and he's very rarely in the spotlight.
Usually, the richest people are the ones you don't hear about, as they are quietly working away in the background earning more money, rather than concentrating on telling everyone.
Theres also the point that people can get richer by bragging! Simon Cowell is a great example of this! He's one of the those that people love to hate, and so he's in the spotlight all the time, all of which adds to his riches as he's paid to be in front of us all. If he was quiet, and didn't brag, do you think people would want to see him on tv? The fact is most people would rather sit in front of the tv and moan about celebs and their ego's and how unfair it is that they have so much money, rather than going out and doing something with themselves to earn money of their own. Its the public interest that fuels these people, and the more they brag, the more money they get paid!
Several different reasons there, everyones different, and all have different reasons for being the way they are. |

Because they can't hold happiness inside and would like to show the world how big they are, just because they don't have anything else. It is kind of a defense of weaknesses they got while earning money. |

The only people I ever heard brag about how much they make in a month are those who have no money skills. It does not matter how much you make in a month if you are spending more than you make. There have been people who made less than $30000 a year end up millionaires because of their saving and investing. |

If they brag about how much they earn in a week they are not really rich! A rich person would brag about how much they earned per minute hour or day. These types of people brag because they know that a really, really, really rich person brags about how beautiful his/ her home is no matter it's size or location, how beautiful his family is and how grateful he/she is for the life they already have. The people you mention usually do not have this. If they did they would never need to brag about money. |
