Why do you have to pay to declare yourself bankrupt in the UK?
I don't intend to ever go bankrupt, but is it just me who thinks this is a mickey-take? What if you can't afford it?

Er because judges, clerks, administrators, security officers, officers of the court and court time are NOT free!

Judges have actual court cases to try NOT people who have fcked up with their finances. THIS is coming from someone who is 20k in debt and filled all the bankruptcy forms and was going to be going to the high court in London (where all the big court cases go so some scary sht!) to go bankrupt.

There ARE cheaper alternatives to bankruptcy AND bankruptcy is not supposed to *easy* and it's not supposed to be a way to run away from debts for free!

So quit griping and pay up! It's NOT mickey taking, it's called business and not getting a free ride!
YOU ran up debt and now you want to get out of paying for those debts AND what a free way to do it! Think YOUR the one taking the fkcing pss mate!

If you can't afford it , you go to your bank and borrow the money.

Just tell them you need it so that you can declare yourself bankrupt.
