Well, from the information you've given, it sounds like a reasonable request. Maybe he's just having a bad day and is taking it out on you. Unfortunately he can do that, within the law, because he's your boss. Just for today, you might have to suck it up and hold out for that last hour.

How often do you get sick and want to leave early? If it's a regular thing, then you have your answer. If you have never done this, never get in trouble at work or have never been reprimanded for poor work performance then your boss is a dick head; or you're sleeping with him. |
