A lot of times it seems that people want to know where to find the answers. Or if you have a very basic question about what is X, this forum is pretty good. I definitely hope no one is making big financial decisions solely based on the answers on this board.
If this helps people get the basics of finance it makes a contribution. |

what kind of financial questions ? something are simple and can be answered here for people just starting or getting the basics plus a wide variety of feedback, good, bad, and indifferent. of course some people just need attention. |

Because for every goob that says "thanks for the 2 points" right before you hit the report button, there is also someone who's been there who isn't trying to sell you anything who will answer you truthfully. |

Interesting point. Did you know that they do not offer stock tips, because it's not allowed!
You can only get stock tips from traders, floor traders can't give them out, nor will a broker.

Maybe they don't know the sites or if they're English they may want an English site and the majority cater for Americans. They may want other opinions on what sites are more helpful too. |

Who knows that there's not someone on here who made a bundle on a certain investment, etc. Maybe the people asking the questions are looking to be redirected to a website such as you mentioned. |

I agree. I've seen a whole lot of questions that I've thought should not be asked to the general public, especially with as screwy everyone is nowadays. Good point you make.

Because there are actual CPA's such as myself who use this format to take a break from our daily grind. Also like another answered I just got 2 points. Why would you ask a question at all if you are doubtful of the validity of the responses on this site? |
