I lost my wallet which had my debit card in it. I reported my card stolen. So my question is, can someone still use my debit card if it's been reported? And if they do try to use it, can I catch them? |

Since you reported it to your bank the card has been cancel and you will receive a new card in the mail within 7 business days and if they try to use it, it would show up as a cancel card so your funds are safe as long as you asked the bank to cancel the card and send you a whole new card out which if you had auto payments you would have to send your bill companies the new card number anyway Good Luck |

No if you have reported it then it will not work, however as you have reported it if it does get used the bank will cover the costs - but it is now useless to anyone and it will send an alert up to any cashier who attempts to process a transaction using the hot listed card!
And the cashier will get £50 if she keeps the card and sends it back to the bank! |

if they try to use it, it will come across the credit card machine as call center, the center tells the clerk the card is stolen. the cklerk calls police who either catches the crook or watches the video tape of the person trying to use card and then tries to identify them to catch them. |

Well that is a good question. The way it works is when you report your card(s) missing your bank tries to cancel the card, yet if there are any charges that do go through they will ask you to make a report and will send you some paperwork in which you promise that charges were done by someone else. When you sign it the bank will give you back any charges made and at that time the bank is the one the police will be dealing with not you. Police only work with the one that is at loss. It is up to the bank to decide if they want to press charges or just swallow it. This will help avoid any further actions from the person in your position from assaulting someone else. Have you made a police report. |

I don't think so, If you reported it stolen you should be safe. But I can't guarantee that you can catch the perpetrator... unless its a guy using it because if its under your name and hes male... BUSTED! lol. But you can't bet on catching the guy or girl it just depends where there using your card but definitely CALL AND ASK WHERE THE DEBIT CARD HAS BEEN RECENTLY USED and try to catch that sucka! lol. But, If you do this hopefully "they" will be smart enough not to use it. Hope that helps! =D |

They might not catch them, that's a lot of work to track where and when a card is being used, it's not like they have a system that sounds an alarm, your card will be swiped by the moron who stole it, the card number will be cancelled (since you reported it, good thinking!) and they will be denied access to your funds. The bank will issue a new card to you with a new number so that your old card is unusable. Good luck, hope that they didn't steal your money! |

Dont worry, when you reported the bank will disable the card so no one can use it. if the person is using in ATMs then you can catch the person because in every ATM there will b a camera it has the memory of 15 days then you can catch |

No, the bank will have flagged that card so if the person who found it tries to use it, it simply won't work.
