mot_85711 | Will my fiance and I do fine with making $94,500 a year between the two of us? |
We have never been married, no kids and we will wed in 29 days. We have a house payment and try to keep the credit cards minimal but wedding costs will add up. |

You'll do fine if you live within your means. Just like 1 family making 40k a year will do fine living within their means and a family of 5 on 100k a year will do fine living within theirs.
You have to budget like anyone else, no matter what you make. If you have enough to save at the end of each month- you're good. Remember though, it's wise to have 20k in savings just for your house when you own a home. You never know what kind of repairs you'll need to make. |

You didn't mention how much your house payment is, but if it's under 30% of your total income, you'll be fine. Wedding costs are a one time cost, so enjoy and don't worry!

Good luck! |

You should do fine, as long as you keep your expenses down. Remember it always helps to construct a budget, so this way you have a financial plan. You should also agree on how much and how often you are going to spend on going out. Also decided how much you want to save. For example my husband and I invest 18% of our combined income. That's not to mention the money we put into our home which is a (liquid assett). I hope this helps. |

How could anyone really answer this question without knowing what your house payments are and what you consider " keeping the credit card bills minimal"? You need to give a little more info. |

That's good money, but weddings are very expensive. Think about the financial start you are making together when planning a wedding. |

Of course you will as long as youd don't spend $94,500 a year.
Watch those wedding costs. You will be together long after that particular ceremony.
And remember, everything is temporary. |

YES! You'll be fine! ME and mine make less than $50,000 a year and we do just fine. |

You should do fine, just remenber not to get too much in debt.
My hubby and I make 115k between the two of us, but with 2 car payments, a house payment and 4 credit cards it sure goes quick! |

Really way the world going u prob. just pass threw like my parents are doing now. They have two kids me and my brother two dogs and cat bird we do just fine their may be a month or so u go down hill like them but u still will make it out of their. When and if u have kids u can still spoil them with some things.
So i think u will be fine just some month or weeks u will have a downhill. prob. |

Wedding cost do add up but so do the gifts, which are things you will need to buy for the house eventually. If you will do fine really depends on the city you live. Because here in Charlotte I'm living fine with my $35,000/yr, in NY I would be in a box! Just know your expenses and keep other expenses to a minimum until you know what kind of spending money you have.
Always save as much as you can, you never know what is going to happen! |

Generally speaking, that's all dependent upon where you live and your lifestyle. For most of the US population that's a lot of money and most people seem to be doing just fine. If you live in Manhatten, it's going to be more difficult. All things are relative when it comes to money. What we in the US think of as very little money is enough to live for several years in other places.
You'll be fine, and if you haven't paid for your wedding yet, I would suspect it's not going to be a very big one, so the costs are not as likely to be too high. |

If you can't make it on $94,500 a year then something is seriously wrong. Making that much you should be able to put away at least $20,000 a year toward retirement. |
