 What does "For Deposit Only" legally mean on a check endorsement?

With internet banking does it cost any money to open and keep an account?

nope not at all, and you can use it for your savings and everything else. It is the best way forward.

You would have to call them to find out or go to their website. Usually banks have different plans.
My bank has free online banking and free online billpay, no minimum balance with direct deposit and free checking.

The fees on Internet bank accounts and other things, varies from bank to bank. Contact the different banks and ask. If you don't know where to start, go to a phone-register for your area; on line or in a book, look up the banks and read info or call customers.
