Yes I Would!!!!! |

La Vie Boheme
No. 100K wont get you far these days. |

Chris O
$100,000k wouldn't even pay off half our mortgage.....JUST shy of it.
So no...even a million...I'd get a part time job still because I'd go crazy doing nothing.
Even if I had $10 million I'd probably still want to stay in a career I love. Just for human interaction and to keep me grounded. |

Doctor Deth
maybe if I lived in a country where the avg person only makes $40 per month or something - after taxes it doesn't last long in the united states |

Jenna
No. It would pay off my mortgage and I'd still need money to pay the rest of my expenses.
I'd need 2 million to be able to quit my job and live modestly for the rest of my life. |

Michele W
Nope, couldn't. That wouldn't even pay off my debt (including my house). |

B_Z
No, I would save it, and keep my job. |

No WAY! $100,000 isn't enough to live off of for more than a few years. And that's living meagerly. I would invest most of it, give some to charity, pay off all my debt (which isn't much), and put the rest in savings (kids college & personal savings). |

Marmelade
Yes - $100,000 would give me a year to find a better job, including getting some experience by volunteering for a few months in the field of my choice. (Sorry, just got sidetracked fantasizing about this actually happening....I'm back to reality now) |

mister ed

no i am retired!!! |

Ms.MojoRisin
Dang----I must be doing something wrong. It takes us $100,000 a year just to live, and we don't even have any debt. Our goal for retirement is $4 million net worth. |

Patrick
I make close to that in my salary each year. Definitely wouldn't be worth it to me to leave for one year's salary. |

niquey
it depends on what type of job I currently have, what kind of salary i am making, and if i like my job or not, now days $100,000 is a decent amount of money but it cant take you far. Now not only that but if i decide to quit, i would then have to make an investment or start my own business to start generating money. |

Big Sky 23
Absolutely not. I'll earn that much in salary in about 2 years at my current job anyway. If I won $1 million, probably not because I'm only 25 and will earn more than that over my lifetime.
But if I won $5 million? Perhaps. |

palmyrafan
No. It wouldn't even pay off our mortgage.
Instead, I would invest it stocks and bonds and maybe a hedge fund or two and use the dividend checks for things we like to do, i.e., help our grown children, travel, etc. |
