Money is important for stability but it can't be the central aspect of your life. Money buys things not love, friends, or family. If I am happy that must mean that I have accepted my circumstances in life and try to enjoy each moment the best I can. If that means I am really poor, so be it. I do have to say that if I am dirt poor I probably am not trying hard enough to change my circumstances unless the major part of my environment (meaning the town I live in, the economy, the government, etc.) is also in such dire straits. |

i suppose poor and happy, as you may end up rich anyway.( or already are really!) though i'd definately rather be rich and miserable than poor and miserable!

I have spent lots of years being poor and UNhappy so I wouldn't mind trying rich and UNhappy for awhile. At least the bills would be paid so my unhappiness would not be caused by that anymore! |

Statistically the people with a lot of money are generally happier than those with very little or no money.
