I have worked at a bank, and trust me...they will catch it. Do not spend it, because you will be in a bind when they want it back. |

The bank will find the error sooner or later. You will have to pay the money back. |

Trust me. When the bank discovers the error they will get it back. If you take the money out of the bank, the lawyers for the bank will get it back.
In this day and age, you will never get away with it. Besides, what would you want to happen if the bank misplaced your money? Wouldn't you want someone honest to give it back? |

well you dont have any obligation to rush to the bank and tell them, but if they notice and ask you for the money back, you should cooperate fully. |

I agree with the person who worked in a bank they will catch it. Once I was paid my paycheck twice and the following day, the extra money had disappeared from my account. |

I would, but that's because I have worked for a bank, and saw what happens to people who spend that money. Usually causes overdraft fees, and they are not fun at all. |

Yes, I'd notify them. Trust me, they will eventually find their mistake and you'll end up looking like a crook if you don't notify them. |

Absolutely ! A mistake on someone else's part doesn't negate your responsibility to be a fair person. Besides, if the bank had made the mistake in reverse, by pulling some of your money in error, wouldn't you speak up then ? You can't call someone on a mistake only when it benefits you. |

yes because if they find out that you knew and didn't day anything then you could probably get in trouble, and it's not yours and that's stealing. |
