Trust that there are reasons you know nothing about...just your asking this question says you know very little about business, probably less about your job. Be elated that you have a job and quit sticking your nose into your bosses pay check. And, how do you know how much money your boss make, anyway??? That knowledge alone is ground for dismissal at many companies...better watch your self! I hear this stuff all the time. Funny thing is, where were the employees when the boss was doing without to keep the paychecks flowing. Where were the employees when the boss put his entire life on the line for the company....no where to be found, that is for sure. |

Thats the way business works. The more you move up the ladder the more the work changes and yes sometimes the less work you get. However most of the time the work you get the further you go up the ladder is a lot different, more stressful more supervisory, and often times with less perks (supervisors most time are a salaried employee which means no overtime, lot's of long hours, phone calls at home and on vacation, etc...). |

Haven't you figured it out. The higher you are on the ladder the less you do. That is why they delegate. |

Probably because he's a lazy asshole. There is no other explanation. And he is a worthless piece of poop (I wanted it to print this instead of asterics, you get my drift). Any man that is willing to sit back on his *** and collect the high wage while someone else is busting *** and doing the work and getting the sucky pay is no man at all. Just a ball-less wonder. I work with one of those too. Just remember the thing about Karma, what goes around comes around. Do your job and do it well, someone will notice and your rewards will be genuine. |

Probably because he's worked FAR longer than you have and has done your job for years before being promoted. People are not paid by the amount of work done soley, as most people think, but rather how hard the work is to do and the demand for the work produced.
Examples:
Doctors - specialized work that pays out of the a**
Lawyers - high demand for lawyers so high pay
McDonalds- anybody can do that job so thats why thwe pay stinks |

One of two things. My dad got a promotion and it seemed like he worked so much less. But when things got really bad, he was having to do everything from jumping on a plane to go to New York to get yelled at, or clean the bathroom when the maintenance guy left. They say the perfect manager never has anything to do because he has delegated all the tasks to exactly the right person. So in summary either your boss has to deal with more responsibility and is a really good delegator, or he's a lazy worthless loser. |

because he/she knows how to delegate and you don't know how to say no. |
