Hopefully the market won't stay so soft, over the last few weeks the market has gone down. In general though, if you bought several years ago, you've still made money, only lost a couple thousand over the last few weeks. In a year, the market will be going up again, or at least leveled out to this years high. Or at least thats my hopeful thinking. :-) |

That depends entirely on your location in a micro and macro sense. Some people are going to lose the so-called equity they have gained in the last 5 years but it really was never there as housing prices have been artificially inflated recently. Personally I just want to get all my money back when I sell my house and don't really care if it appreciates over 2 years. Buy in the right area and a house will never lose value. |

what a crazy question....who can predict that? Is the stock I have going to be worth more or less? Will my savings account pay more or less interest? Will my 401K be worth more or less? Will my gold ring be worth more or less? |

It will be worth more. Although I don't plan on any major improvements this year, there are several new homes that are going up in my neighborhood causing the appraisal of my home to go up. |

Depends on the market and what condition your house is in. If you put money into it, updated it it will go up. If you don't maintain it, it can go down. Lots of things it depends on but overall real estate always goes up. |
