marco l | 31 living with his parents? |
rented out his property(900 euro a month) and sold his car to make more money. He earns 1200 euro a month after tax(less than 1000 pounds,1800 dollars after tax a month) and found it quite hard to live on his own so he came back to his parents house. He gives them 250 euro a month and that includes food and bills.
Would you do this in order to have more spending money? |

Would I live with my parents?
No, only seriously mental ill losers live with mom and dad as adults.
Decent human beings do not do this. 250 does not cover the bills PLUS feed the chump!
Poor mom and dad, I really feel for them, they need to show some tough love and boot the loser out. |

Honest? 31 and free loading from his parents? 250 for rent, food and "bills"? No car, so I assume he uses is parents.
He should grow up. |

Only for a very short time...and only as a last resort. I'd be more inclined to look for a better paying job or get a part-time job to supplement my income. |

living with your parents when your over 30 is awesome. |
|

GorGeous_Girl
 |
nope i wouldnt
firstly because i think y parents have earned a well deserved break and some peace and quiet
and secondly you NEVER learn what real life is all about unless you move out from your parents house and live by yourself. no matter how old you are your parents always spoil you and pamper you and thats the worst thing they can do to someone who should be kicked on the **** and told to get out! |

30 and running back home, what a sado, all he's doing is letting his parents do the saving for him, at his age he should have a wife and family of his own. |

I stayed w/ my mother for less than 2 weeks when I was 30 and relocating across the country to be closer to her during a health crisis she had. I love my mother, but I couldn't take it for even the full 2 weeks and ended up gently getting my own place nearby.
I think that if an adult child has emancipated EMOTIONALLY and the parents are not CODDLING him and treating him like a spoiled child then no self-respecting, psychologically healthy adult would trade their own place willingly (and the freedom that implies on every level) for some extra cash and their old room with mom & dad. In fact, most healthy young adults I would bet would share a flat with multiple roommates and work a second job (which I did after college) in order NOT to have do that.
So, no--past a certain point, and outside of an absolutely short term, unanticpated crisis, I wouldn't do that to have more money, and I would only do it short term, with a clear agreement about how long, cost sharing, cufew expectations, home schedules, etc., before moving my stuff in. |

I think the correct term here is "Mommy s boy".
Girl, do not think of him as marriage material.
You will end up having to cart and carry for him (taking over the roll of his mother)
People like this never change. |

i'd only do that for a short while if i was desperate for cash and then only for a very short time.
i generally think anyone over 30 living with their parents is a bit suspect. |

Hell no! I wouldn't live back with my parents for anything. |
