yes , if you take care of everything |

You would not qualify for a property if the landlord requires income of 3-4 x rent.
If it is a roommate situation, the norm is to require each roommate to qualify on their own. |

How many people are in your household. It sounds like you would qualify, income wise, for affordable housing. Most affordable housing communities require only up to 2 times the rent. My company requires only 1.5 times the rent in income. |

Sounds tough. Is the 1600 a month before or after taxes. I would say yes if it is after tax 1600.
So long as you do not get into credit card debt, and accept that you are not rich, and work at getting raises or go back to school for a better job - you will be fine. |

We? So there is 2 people making 1600 a month?
Right now by myself I make around 1300 a month and I pay 750 a month in rent which leaves me 550 to pay bills and gas. Gas for me is 40-45 a week. That gives me 370 left then 65 for cable, phone and internet which gives me 305 left. Lastly I pay my 20 a month electric, and that leaves me with a grand total of ......
285 to by food with.
Now mind you, I have had to learn to spend very wisely and I get by on not much food.
Its hard to live on a little, but you can do it, IF you manage your budget.
Oh and I'm currently looking for another job, I got laid off of both of my jobs and was unemployed for 3 months, so 1300 a month is better than nothing at all.
Good Luck |

yep, just dont live too highly... and MAKE A BUDGET... |

Real Estate Guy

I would NOT.
Based on your income, assume that 1,600 a month is gross income (before taxes, etc) - I wouldn't recommend more then 450 a month MAX. |
|

Landlord
 |
Not many landlords will accept that. Generally they want closer to 3-4 times the rent in income. |

Yes, that shouldn't be a problem |
