If you can't resolve the eviction it is going to be hard to rent again. Most people end up in those hotels that you pay be the week, in advance.
The dept. of housing will not help you, they do not force landlords to accept people with evictions. |

Have they filed this in court?
If no they can not do anything.
If yes make payment plans with the landlord and tell the people where you are going that you have done so. This should help you get another home. |

Are you being evicted because you didn't pay your rent? If so, then you need to find a way to pay it - find a church group that might be able to help you.
Are you being evicted because you are breaking a rule in your lease - like disturbing your neighbors or having an unauthorized pet? Then chances are you have been given plenty of time to correct the situation and this is the landlords final action.
If you provide more information then it might be easier to help you. |

Unfortunately, its next to impossible to help you if you don't tell us what you are being evicted for. If the papers have already been served by a police officer, you'll need to be out by the date listed. The Department of Housing isn't going to help you keep your apartment if you're being evicted for damages to the property or non-payment of rent. |

First he needs to give you a three day notice to quit...you should immediately stop paying rent, which allows you to save the money to afford to move. Next the landlord needs to give you a thirty day notice...again you have time and you can save the next rent....finally he will give notice to appear in court in the next month...you still save the rent...you can go to the court and the judge will tell you to leave, unless you can show that the landlord is a jerk, that you are willing to pay but you require the changes(show bank statement with rent saved). Finally if you must leave then you will have to leave on the day the judge says...so you have three months in all and if you must leave the money is there for the new place...for best results for you...leave before the court date...then there will be nothing on YOUR record for having a judgement against you. |

It depends on why you are being evicted. Is it for non-payment of rent or another issue.
If at all possible, your best course of action is to communicate with your landlord to come to an agreement on how to resolve the situation amicably. |
