Consider Venice, FL - on the Gulf of Mexico, 1 hour south of Tampa, 15 minutes south of Sarasota (for good jobs), 2 hours to Orlando, for fun.
Safe, clean, normal area with young people, families with kids, retired folks. It's not a resort destination, so it feels less tourisity, but we do have a gorgeous natural, undeveloped beach, great restaurants, year round outdoor sports.
In its entire history, Venice has never had a hurricane hit our shores. They always seem to slope around or away from us. Must be something geographical.
Very affordable. Check it out at:

Good luck and best wishes. |

I lived in South Florida (Boca Raton) after college for a year. It was great. But... when you get to an age where you want to raise a family, beware. Warm climate places are full of 'transiants' (snow birds). Makes for a difficult life for a family. Also, the crime in South Florida was miserable. Public school system a mess. Too many retired people who don't want to pay the taxes necessary to make it truely livable. I've never lived in Cali but I hear better things - expect the cost of housing. Florida is nice to visit in the winter but I wouldn't recommend living there. Ok, one more suggestion to add to your list. Take a look at Texas. Yes, Texas. I lived in the Dallas area for 5 years and I loved it. Good people, affordable living, decent climate, etc. Look into San Antionio and Austin. You might be very surprised.... |

Try Southern Oregon, Hot in the summer, slightly cold but never snows.
P.s. stay out of GA. I was there in Dec. Temp. was -10 and it was humid, that cold hurts your bones |

The best place for you is somewhere in the middle east such as Lebanon, Iran or Syria. Terrific weather, warm and sunny all year round. |

San Diego is warm all year long, and the fires don't ever reach the city. Its a beautiful, richly diverse, and cultural city.
That being said, its a terribly expensive place to buy, or live.
Still, for a young person such as yourself, you might find it worth it. |

Think about GA or SC. They don't get affected too badly from hurricanes and it's usually warm and sunny. |
