Until the estate is probated they have no legal right to anything in the home. You can call the police if you want-- what they're doing is the equivalent of stealing.
Change the locks and don't allow them access. |

Was a will left by your grandfather? If not the estate would follow the laws of intestacy. In either case no one should remove anything until probate is granted and the legality of who gets what is proven. |

No, its legally yoour house. Call a locksmith and get the house locked down to prevent further thivery. Call your local police dept and report these robberies if you find it necssry to do so. Other wise the house and belogings go to probate and then after the will is decided on, things can be given out. What if she left her favorie bird pin to aunt sue and aunt Rita has it. |

Unless they were left the items they are taking in a LEGAL will, they are stealing and you can inist they stop. Whether they will stop is another matter. Also, do you want grief with you family in order to keep a carpet? Let them take it then change the locks and replace with nicer gear. |

You need to consult a solicitor, i would imagine, as you are now the sole owner, you have full possession of the property and its contents. check it out legally. Families eh. |

Just because you owned the property jointly with him doesn't mean you automatically inherit his possessions. But then neither do they.
If there is no will, then his belongings will have to be distributed according to the law. |
