By law when is your rent due?

Whenever it says in your lease.

If you don't have a lease, the 1st of the month is generally the accepted date.

When your lease says it is due. Some places go with the first of the month. Others on the date you move in. They can make the due date any day they want. There is no law setting the date for them.

If it's in your rental agreement or lease look it up.
You probably agreed to something.
Pay your rent, Your landlord invested his money in the property. It's his living.

tigglys
Depends COMPLETELY on your contract.

peacelovejoy
By law it is due on the date stated on your lease which should have been signed by both the renter and the landlord.

MissV
Your lease agreement, which became a contract upon both signatures, indicates the date your rent is due and the fees the owner/landlord can charge when not received.

You want to abide by the lease agreement because when you decide to purchase a home, the mortgage company may want to send a Verification of Rent to your landlord, asking if you paid your rent on time. Two or more lates could cause you to be denied by some companies.

pepperdine344
Usually in a lease agreement your payment is due the first of the month, and usually is fine until the 20 day there after mark, depending on the land lord of the property, they can take action to have you booted out after 30 days of un paid rent.

caseysxyz
Your rent would be due on the date defined in your rent agreement.

Without a rent agreement, the law would either be local statutory law or common law. Generally, that would the first of the month.

when the lease states that its due. Most leases also contain language regarding when late fees can be charged and how much.
