Yeah on a monopoly board!

If:

Your card has enough to cover it.

The vendor will accept it.

Your new card has enough to cover it.

You are prepared to pay the transfer fee, that's the catch.

All a bit of a dream, I'm afraid!

oh my word, don't do that! That would be the worst mistake you could evr make. If you miss one payment it could be absolutely disasterous. You could end up being in a huge spiral of debt. Why would you want to buy on credit card? If it's because you haven't got the money then it would be such a bad idea. Having a mortgage has a much lower interest rate than doing it on a credit card.

you could possibly find a house up north somewhere for £25000, that's just about feasible as credit limit. you could then keep transferring the balance from 0% card to 0% card IF you could keep getting one with a high enough limit. you'd get a hefty transfer fee every time though...

yes, if the credit limit was big enough.

although to get a card with a large enough limit, you would be rich enough to buy the house cash anyway !!

CT
No, that is not classed as capital, that is a loan from a bank institution and they will not even consider it.

If you can, it wouldn't be the best thing to do. Every time you transfer money from one credit card to another, you are charged a 3% fee. Eventually you would reach the point that you wouldn't be able to afford a card with a large enough limit and forced to start paying. Credit cards have higher and and variable interest rates. You would be much better off getting a real mortgage.

If your credit limit is high enough, do it, but then the interest rate will be a killer. The going mortgage rates are around 6.?%. Why go with the credit card interest? It doesn't make sense really.

No. No escrow company would take a credit card as a measure of your assets. Even if you do have a $50,000 limit on it. And if you did have a credit card with a $50,000 limit, that would be because you have a lot of money to begin with.

It could be done but highly impractical
