No. Your status of entry is through student visa. Only citizens with a salary according to a state standard are allowed to have house mortgage. |

i believe , that if you have student visa you can apply for SSN.
i live in Chicago and i know for sure couple students who legally obtain the SSN, they work legally. if yon can work, you can buy the house. call SSN office and simply ask them.after that talk with the loan officer and they'll let you know what are the requirements. |

You can buy and own property in America, whether you are a citizen or not.
You can't have a Social Security number unless you are a citizen of the US.
You may be required to post an ample down payment. Only a lender can give you the amount needed.

There are actually multiple programs available for borrowers such as yourself.
You do not need a SSN to buy secure a mortgage. Here's some of the guidelines you would qualify for:
Up to 95% LTV
Non-traditional credit allowed
Full Doc or Stated available
No SSNÂ
No Visa
No sourcing or seasoning of funds
Multiple borrowers allowed
Since you are currently renting, you will be able to verify a payment history. Plus your student tutition payment would also be another tradeline that you can utilize.
Have you established any credit cards here in the U.S.?
These programs are not allowed in all states, so please let me know where you are located.

You may buy property, but you may have difficulty getting a loan, especially if you do not have the right to work.
No social security number, no credit score.
On the other hand, you can apply for a Tax ID number just like illegal aliens do.
You may be able to get a loan, but you've got to be able to convince the lender that your source of income is ongoing. Every situation is different. |

Edward is correct. The problem you are going to have, however, is proving income. Being a student doesn't pay anything, so how do you intend to make the mortgage payments?

Yes, You can buy a home without having a ssn all you will need to do is apply for a tax id number. Find a house for 60% of the appraised value. Check with a local real estate investor. You may have to do some work on the property to get it up to par. Then find a true hard money lender and let them know what you are going to do as far as living in the property while you are in school and fixing up the property. A true hard money lender will not require a credit check, verification of income, verification of citizenship, etc.. Hard Money is very expensive ex. 4-6% of the loan amount to orginate the mortgage plus 18% apr. But these payments should be interest only payments |
