Every case is different, the best thing will be to make an appointment with the housing office, ask them what you need to take with you. You may be entitled to some help. and lets face it any help is good.
Good luck

contact your local council, specifically the housing benefit dept.
and ask them to send you a form.
see link below, it may help you, too.

i think your income will be too high if you only get £54 working tax cred because i get a higher top up and im not entitled to housing benefit.
however i defo think its worth applying because of your partners income, you've got nothing to loose if they say no.

Hi, I work for housing benefits, If you are on a low income its possible that you may be able to claim something, the problem is to tell you for sure you would have to give all your personal details which you don't want to do here.

Chech out this link, it allows you to input all your detalis then it will tell you if you qualify for benefit or not

Its possible you can.....it depends on your earnings you are certainly eligible to apply

Your partners DLA will be ignored from income...but he may be entitled to a disability premium in the HB award as well. The income that will be added is your earnings and your tax credits and his IB
