Here Is Sterling. | Can I have some advice? |
I asked a previous question, where in the US in the best place to live? I want a homey place, and where I can enjoy all season's. I'm in love with nature and I want somewhere I can enjoy snow in the Winter, rain and warmth in the Spring, hot in the Summer and cold in the Fall. The place I am looking for is to raise a family. People have said West Virgina and Ohio. Where is the best place to live there? Can anyone give me examples of cities? Also, someone said North Texas and the city of Ennis and South Easteren Virgina. I'm going to look into that and does anyone have any other recommendation's? States, with cities? Thank you so much! I appreciate it GREATLY. :) |

Think Illinois. Rockford, IL, Freeport, IL there are many others I am sure. |

You opened a whole new can of worms as soon as you said family.
You should start your search by looking first at where your child/ren will get the best education. Once you have this list, compare it to the quality of life that you are looking for. Always keep children as your #1 priority and let everything else fight for 2nd place. |

That question is like car shopping car. Many varieties and
similiarities. If you are looking for the four seasons then you
definitely want to be on the East Coast. Do an on-line search for the Greatest Places to Live and see if you can
decide from that. |

The first place that comes to my mind that fits your description is Asheville, North Carolina. The people are very laid back and move rather slow in comparison to the big city life I'm accustomed to (Chicago and Dallas), but if that doesn't bother you, Asheville is a great choice. I've heard Austin, Texas, is another great place to live, but you would definitely have to head north in the winter to see snow on a regular basis!
My husband always purchases Fortune magazine's annual ranking of best places to live (maybe he's looking for some place to get away from me!). Check out the link below. The ranking contains VERY specific information on climate, cultural aspects, recreational activities, crime statistics, education, job growth, commute times, affordable housing, etc. A quick note specifically regarding crime statistics: Just keep in mind that a big city often has high crime ratings, probably due to a more highly concentrated population. For example, both Dallas and Ft. Worth are high in crime, but I live in a small suburb about halfway between both cities and we have very little crime whatsoever.
Good luck in your decision! |

I have helped people relocate from the east, west, north, and further south, but suggest you look at Arkansas based on what you've stated. Are you retiring or will you be working and within what field? What do you do in your spare time? Of course, I have a vested interest but I have a background in sales and community development and I've traveled the states and globe, so I feel I have something to back my suggestions.
Drop me your address and I'll send you community info on Conway, AR or check out legacyrlty.com. |

Your best bet is to contact the chamber of commerce in different part of the US. You can go on-line and they will give you the weather monthly, rain per days, snow, thunderstorms, etc.
You can also go to weather.com and put in the city and state and check it out for yourself. |

It has to be the great state of North Carolina! First of all everyone knows Carolina girls are the best in the world and you look like you would fit right in! We have mountains that have wonderful skiing in the winter and are absolutely beautiful in the fall. We have mild spring weather that can vary from cool to comfortable! Finally, One of the greatest beaches in the world is located here, well just over the state line, Myrtle Beach SC. There is a reason why NC is always in the top three states people are moving to, because once they visit, they never want to leave!! Hope to see ya here soon! Oh yeah, the folks around here are the nicest in the world too!! |
