It depends on what you signed on your lease. If you agreed to just forfeit your security deposit but my apartment complex makes you pay for the remainder of the year.

molly m
of course you can i do it all the time...GO! leave! right now!

Yes. you can up and move without notice OR you can buy out your lease, talk to the manager and see if they are willing to let you out of the lease like say if you help them find another renter, or sublet your place. Before you up and move try the latter suggestions so nothing negative ends up on your credit.

You will be responsible for the remainder of the lease agreement and you will loose your deposit.

you will be sued for a breach of contract if the landlord cannot quickly find a replacement tenant.

You may be under contract to continue to pay your rent, but you don't have to live there. contact the owner to see if something can be worked out. Often you will be allowed to find a subleasor

You can, and if you can find a satisfactory sublessee, you can get your deposit back. If you cannot find one, give the landlord a written notice, as far in advance as possible (but in no event less than 30 days), describing your intention. The odds are good that another tenant can be found, and you'll be off the hook.

U can do anything u want to do...it might mess up your credit report and damage u on renting another. The best thing to do is stick it out but if that is not an option try getting a friend or relative to move into it and pay rent for the remainder of the lease. My friend moved out of her apartment and My boyfriend and i stayed there for 2 months she helped us out a lot though with bills and things worked out fine...good luck!!

Gypsy Girl
You can physically leave the aparment anytime you want. You are not required to live there. You are required to pay for the entire term of the lease unless you can get someone to sublet. And you can only do that with your landlords permission.

Katie C
You can always leave but usually there are penalties. I depends on the reason you are leaving. The best thing to do is get out the lease you signed and read through it and try to find what happens if you break your lease. Good Luck!
