Sounds complicated, but you should contact the city planning department where you live. They would have to approve it anyway. If the city says it's OK, and the neighbors get weird, try a lawyer. |

you need to speak to your town officials to see if such a thing is possible there was probably a good reason this road was put where it was put so you need to check to see if there are reasons like wires or pipes or whatever before you go ahead and make any changes that could incurr fines |

First, why don't you just talk with you neighbors? See if they are agreeable to such a change. If so, it probably needs to be legally documented, perhaps they would be will to split the cost of that with you since it may be in their best interest anyway. If they aren't agreeable, you may still need a lawyer to advise you on your next steps. |

I don't see why not if it is your property. Are you on good terms with them? I never hurts to talk with your neighbors and let them know what you would like to do. They may like it better also. |

Sounds like you could be doing them a favor as well and if they know how the current situation affects you maybe they will be more than willing to allow you to do this. Just talk to them. |

Pull up the county recorder assessor web for your county. Now input your APN(assessors parcel number) ,then pull up the parcel map to your property. It should show the easment (road)of ingress and egress (entrance and exit). If it shows that it was recorded on the county map,you may have to have it re-recorded provided the neighbor approves to change it the way you want it.If it is not recorded I believe you can change the road located on your property. It is always better to do things together as neighbors so you keep a friendly atmosphere. |

This can be done but everyone has to agree to it. Your neighbor has a recorded easement on your property. To alter the easement everyone would have to agree to the changes and you would likely have to hire a real estate attorney to make the changes agreed upon. The planing and zoning department couldn't care less about this issue but you may need a building permit. |

Your question is kind of unclear but you first need to find out who's land it is in which you would like to put an access road (an easement, is what it's called). If it's not yours or your neighbor's, forget about it unless you want to buy that land or ask the land owner for an "easement appurtenant"- an easement for the benefit for another parcel of land. If it is your land, simply get a permit, from your city or county, to build an access road. Same for your neighbors if it's their land. To play it smart, contact a local realtor in your area. Every state's laws differ. |

I think you should discuss this with your neighbor before you make any calls to get this done. If your neighbors agree to it, I'm sure there will be no problems with your plans. |

See you need to be asking the department of planning at your city offices. We have no way of knowing, that type of thing is governed by your local city and county. |
