You can get one if you can find someone who will rent to you. That won't be easy, since you are not of legal age, and thusly cannot be held to any contract/lease which you sign. Nor can you be sued for damages you may cause, or for rents you fail to pay. Now, do tell, how many landlords do you know who would rent to a person like you ? |

No you have to be 18 to be able to sign a lease. No one under 18 can sign a legal document without the co-signature of a parent/guardian. |

Probably not. The only way I could think of is if your emancipated legally. You are legally a minor and signing a lease is entering a contract, so you would not be able to do so. Sorry |

Probably, you might have to have someone older than you sign the lease with you guaranteeing they will get their rent since they'll look at you as so young. |

Well... yeah, if you're emancipated. but the emancipation procces is complicated... research it before you go jumping into thinngs, and remember to manage your money wisely. |

To clarify all the half-answers above - Maybe. You would need to have yourself declared an Emancipated Minor in some states (that's a court proceeding), and in others, you just simply would be out of luck until you are 18, because as folks said, you would not be able to legally sign a lease.
However, there certainly are plenty of rentals that simply do not have leases, and the landlord may not ask too many questions. (Of course, you're not going to get anything like a beautiful new apartment like this though.)
Say you were lucky enough to find a $600 per month apartment without a lease and a landlord that is willing to rent to you. Most likely, you'll need first month, last month, and deposit to move in. That's $1800. Electric and phone are going to be a problem, because you have to give them your SSN and birthdate, and they're not going to give an account to a minor. So you'd need to figure that out too. |

You cannot legally sign and be held to any contract. No, you cannot get an apartment.
Beyond that, you probably do not have a credit history and would need a co signer if you were 18 or 19 (whichever age is legal in your state) to rent an apt. |

if your from the uk you go to the housing executive and ask for 1 youll be put on a waiting list which varies how long you have to wait also you can claim housing benifit so that they pay your rent and rates but a wouldnt think youd want 1 if your skint theres no furniture and there cold and bare!
im in the same situation but im 19 id love to leave home.
trust me thow youd be better staying at home for a few years that way if you have a job u can save for furniture .a car and insurance and clothes and stuff because if you move in and want to have a social life aswell youll be stuck you have to pay heatin electicity food council tax and everything else like tooth brush/paste deoderant etc plus youll not be able to save for luxeries if i was you i stay at least till your 19 plus eventually id say yad get lonely imagine not talkin to any1 most of the day week in week out!
sorry to burst ur bubble but you need to think about these things f ya want to be happy!
gud luck |

You have to have established credit. If you don't, get a credit card even if you don't use it. It will establish credit. I don't know about your age, a lot of places will probably be very reluctant to lease to someone your age. |
