Yes because the whole payment isn't there. You need to pay the whole payment by the due date to not get a late fee. The whole bill needs to be paid before the bill is paid, anyways otherwise it is just"almost paid" |

Yes. Some will waive late fees if you set up the partial payment with them and schedule a date to pay the remainder. It's alway important to talk with the company and work things out.

I don't know what they WILL do, but paying only part of the bill on time means the other part is late. If I were you, I'd expect a late fee. They expect all of their money. |

Yes. Unlike a credit card they expect payment in full. You can call them and usually just talking to a company, ANY company and explaining that it was a mis-understanding or the first time, they will remove the late fee.
Give them a call and find a representative to talk to. Good luck. Stay patient. |

Different water companies have different policies. Technically, your payment isn't "late" if at least part of it arrived before the deadline, but the company may have a policy of charging a late fee anyway. It might be a good idea to call and speak to a company representative and explain the situation. Talking to them personally might give them a reason to cancel any late fee, even if one applies. |
