Can anyone help me? Wells Fargo is stealing my home and I can't do anything about it it seems?

I *really* doubt that they're stealing your home. Lenders will do anything reasonable to avoid foreclosure. That lender in particular is one I know that has a history of working quite extensively with people who are making a good faith effort. Contact them and ask.

Perhaps if you explain exactly what is going on, somebody will be able to suggest where the problem lies and a specific solution. Or did you just want to libel a particular company?

bostonianinmo
And just how exactly are they doing that?

Wells Fargo is a bank. If you have a mortgage through them and you're not making your payments they're entitled to take the house away from you.

That's how the system works. Make your payments, keep your house. Not make payments, goodbye house!

"Stealing"? Like how?

If you say you haven't been making mortagage payments that isn't stealing. in fact, you've stolen from them.

the best way to get your home from out of there clutches is to pay the monthly morgage payment.

Lisa

Umm, I'm not really sure what you mean by they are "stealing" your home but have you made sure that you are paying in full on time every month? That's the easiest way to keep you stuff.

Drew
If they are relay stealing your home this would be a good time to excise your Second Amendment rights.

A lot of people who fall into financial hardship and can't make mortgage payments find out their mortgage company isn't that easy to work with. It might not be that Wells Fargo is stealing your home, but I'm sure it feels like that. Even if you are making payments on time, sometimes clerical errors at big banks can screw up your entire account, whether your in a hardship or not.

The best thing to do is contact Wells Fargo and make sure you document every time you call and talk to anyone there. Write down who you talk to, the department, the date/time, and the contents of your conversation with them. Don't let them force you into foreclosure without protecting yourself and building a case against them.

Sometimes, courts can allow you additional time to save the home and put Wells Fargo's procedures on hold. You have to prove you've earned the extension, though.

Also, if they are pushing you into foreclosure, a lawyer's office will soon be involved, so make sure you have their contact info, as well. Always keep in contact with the lender and their representatives and don't listen to anyone who tells you to ignore their calls or letters. Your best options to save your home all involve cooperation between you and Wells Fargo.

In fact, you might want to talk to someone more in-depth about your situation and find out what solutions are available to you. Refinancing might be a good option if you want to get away from Wells Fargo altogether. However, that might be an improbable solution if you are actually behind in payments. But you should find out all of your options before you get too far along.

It's not your home. It belongs to the bank until it is paid off. You only get to live there- but if you're not paying, why should they let you stay?
