Visit some estate agents...make an appointment to view....view the property ...then make an offer on the property via the estate agents. Once the offer is accepted, then visit a solicitor....they will need to do the conveyancing for you. Also make sure you have your mortgage/finances in order. Remember to set aside funds for your solicitor's fees...and stamp duty. Then just sit back and wait!!!
You need a survey ....and make sure you can afford your mortgage payments.
Some banks/building society will have better interest rates/offers than others. Also make sure you don't take too high a loan...as the mortgage will go up when interest rates go up....unless you have a fixed term mortgage.
Also...what kind of mortgage?? Repayment? Endowment?.......good luck!!! AND...let me know when the house warming party is!!!
Oh yeah..forgot...you will also need building and contents insurance!! |

First of all, why would you wanna live in the UK...? Not knocking down that country, but there is soo many scams that come out of that country that I cant see why anyone would believe anything the people in that country would say to me.. They have this rule in the UK that states that if you can get Americans over here to live bring the price up as hefty as possible... They really dont like the USA that much and so whomever you get to find you a home, better be a relative visiting over there or someone you know personally... Cuz if you dont, your going to fall into one of their scams.... Believe me.. I lost allot of money trying to buy land over there... Its no different than USA saying I will give you this property for $2000.00 and you find out its in the middle of the everglades in Florida... With the alligators... So cant you find another place closer to you.... than go to the UK.... Inquiring minds would like to know. Linda H. |

1. go and see a financial advisor (preferably an independant one) and find out how much you can borrow.
2. register with various agents via rightmove.co.uk
3. view properties.
4. put offer in.
5. arrange survey and instruct solicitor.
6. move.
Have a careful look around - if you can't afford much shared ownership properties may be worth investigating. |

Rob a bank. That should give you enough for a deposit at least. House prices have never been higher. |
