Depends on the conditions of you lease. Most of the time after a lease is satisfied either party can terminate with 30 days notice or in the event of a breach of the agreement (ie you kept a pet in a no pet house) |

What does his lease say? If the landlord went to court and got an order allowing him to evict the person, where would it be illegal? Honestly, the guy should be talking to a lawyer. Or, he should be talking to the landlord to make arrangements to pay his rent!
There is nothing illegal about evicting a tenant, so long as the eviction follows the terms of the lease and local laws. |

There is no state that it is illegal to evict someone. If that were the case then you could move into an apartment and never pay rent again. Why is he being evicted is it nonpayment or did he not comply with his lease? Any way good luck. |

If a tenant breaches the terms of lease, he/she can be evicted. Yes, it is legal in all states. However, the breacher/evictee must be given reasonable time in order to gather his/her stuff before vacating the premises. For instance, 3 days would be unreasonable time to expect someone to vacate the premises. |

Yes, you can be evicted. Certain things have to happen first, however. The landlord should have court papers, and they should have been served to your friend.
You cannot just live in someone else's house without paying. There is always a way to evict. |

-You No Stay
There may be other issues invlolved, and the law does provide tenants with A LOT of protection, but you don't have a right to someone else's property unless you live up to your end of the lease. |

There are extenuating circumstances to every eviction. There are websites to where you can check landlords abilities to find if they are abiding by these laws or if they are finding ways around them. I would definitely run a search on Landlords Rights in IL to find out more!! |

Use common sense. Would you want to have someone living in a place you own who trashes the place and doesn't pay rent? Of course, tenents may be evicted. Each state has laws regarding how much notice must be given and by what means. There may be some minor differences in reason for eviction but yes anyone can be evicted. |
