contact the planning department of the council for the area you live in they should be able to advise,
most agricultural land will not be allowed to be used for residential development, but I know of some which operate as tourist attractions here.one in particular is "Heads of Ayr" farm park they have animals which the public can see and feed as well as bouncy castles, playparks etc |

It is up to the zoning board in your county to give each parcel of land a designation such as farm land, single family homes, apartments etc. To change this designation or find out exactly what your parcel is designated go to the zoning board. If you want to change it you will have to ask for a hearing before the zoning commission. |

You need to look at local zoning its probably zoned agricultural. If you wish to change it to commercial you will need to go through the zoning board and town council with partitions and request and a bunch of other litigation's. good luck |

You could rent it to people doing Civil War or WWII reenactments.... if you live in an area where that is popular. Or you could build an "historic village".

contact your local zoning board. they'll be able to tell you what will fly...and what wont. If its zoned for agriculture, ask if you would be able to get a zoning variance to use it as a *insert land use here.* The answer will either be a yes or a no. |

I live area that is designated agriculture, there is no zoning laws in my area. Undeveloped my 25 acres taxes where $13.40 last year. (I had built my home on it by that time but is hadn't been re-assessed) it will still be designated agriculture. I have 3 aces undeveloped in an area that is designated residential and the taxes last year were a $114.00. Again my area has no zoning laws but the for tax purposes they make a distinction.
As for other purposes, in my area a couple have been turned into off-road parks, many are leased out for hunting purposes. Some lease their land out for grazing. Others sub divide and build homes. Some still farm it, mostly cattle in my area. Logging is also big in my area.
In my area there wouldn't be an issues with a tourist park. The only issue I could see is with the the increased amount of traffic and the small roads, the state may have an issue with that.
People like lumpy that complain about people developing their own land. Until you rip down you current home and return it to its original habit, quit your job, move into a cave and become one with nature how can you complain. |
