I've never heard of a state law regulating that.. usually those types of matters are handled by local towns & cities.
I have heard of local ordinances limiting domiciles to 3 unrelated persons...you might want to check your town/city's code book regarding this. |

There are local city laws in some cities in Texas prohibiting more than a certain number of unrelated persons (sometimes two, sometimes four) from sharing an apartment. Sometimes the law only applies to single-family homes. Sometimes it depends on the number of bedrooms in the unit. Most of these laws are in college towns.
Check with the apartment manager, landlord, or a local Realtor to find out for sure about the particular place you're interested in. |

Let’s not trust a random person. Common knowledge is not always correct knowledge. How about looking for a dwelling and seeing what the landlord says?
There are antiquated laws in some areas that were meant to prevent brothels that limit the number of unrelated women who can share a dwelling. Some areas also have occupancy laws that limit the number of unrelated people who can share a home, but it’s usually much higher than two. |

Erika Ferguson F, I moved from Texas to Oklahoma last year, so I'm not sure who I could call to help you. Here is a list of apartments in Texas that you can contact. http://www.findanapartmentonline.com/Texas-Apartments.html I'm sure someone can help you.
Good Luck! |

It's 2 adults per bedroom.
How ridiculous it would be if two adults were the only permitted residents in a 3 bedroom apartment?
2 in each bedroom does not violate the law. |

Just call some apartments near your campus and ask the managers if there can be four people in a two bedroom. If they say yes there can be then its on them. If they say no only two people to an apartment try a neighborhood a little further away from campus. Around my university we have similar laws that limit people to 3 un related people per house. The law only exists in one neighborhood next to the university though because the people who lived there successfully petitioned for it. |

There's no such law. You and your friends have the right to rent together. Will four girls be able to live together in harmony... is another matter... |

What an absured law that would be....I don't think it is real at all...she is pulling your leg...think about it.
The moment a person has their birthday and beocmes a legal adult they must immediate vacate the premises of thier parents home or they would be breaking the law.
or an elderly parent could never stay with thier son/daughter and their spouse. |

Yes, of coarse. The law in Texas says no more then 3 people per a bedroom. So, if you have a 3 bedroom house, legally you can have up to 9 people living there. |

okay, as most of us female people know from the hills (a show on mtv or vh1, cant remember), that when lauren, lo, and audrina (?) roomed together BAD THINGS HAPPEND!!! lo and audrina got in a fight and lauren was stuck in the middle. Not good. Lauren had to choose between lo and audrina. So, i would say no to rooming with your friends. People will get on eachothers nervs and it will be awkward and stressfull. second of all, if u have any doubts, do ur homework on the law. good luck! |

dont let your landlord know that theres more than 2 people. if the landlord sees the same 2 people there then just tell them their visiting. 2 people per room |
